Stray Cat Refuses to Relinquish Dream of a Couch to Call His Own

Bigelow the Stray Cat

As Fall weather moves in and storm season sends in the first rains of the year Bigelow the stray cat redoubles efforts to become an indoor feline.

“All I want is to come into a nice warm house and be there forever, eating and sleeping.”

Bigelow is the most regal cat in the entire neighborhood.

The greasy furred, underweight stray who has run around the trailer park for nearly a decade has decided that as the weather moves in: he rather be an indoor cat. He has worked on his goal steadily over a year and hopes he is nearing his dream of warm blankets and endless food supply.

He incessantly sprays urine marking his territory across the entire neighborhood and has a ton of fleas, which really limits his ability to live indoors — but Bigelow is hopeful that the uptick in lonely middle age women into the neighborhood will work in his favor.

Unfortunately at least a couple of the new arrivals are dog people and as such have an entire dog sled team of small yippers — but a couple he holds out hope for, like the new local Wiccan or the aging art chick definitely have a ‘cat-lady’ vibe.

He hopes by cultivating big sad lonely eyes and sitting staring in their windows getting drenched in a cold misting rain will just be too much for their hearts and they’ll allow him inside — or maybe he can just slip inside.

Bigelow is unsure why they keep trying to touch his fur or pat his head, let alone take his photo, but it’s all part of the bigger picture: Food bowl and couch ahead.

Never give up on your dreams.
