Ever notice how Google always posts health articles at the top that are absolutely f***** useless? Healthline? Medscape – are there no other web sites? C’mon Google. Google be returning health results published 5 years ago and written by an AI.
Insomnia caused by exercise? Internet says that’s impossible, nay running is the solution! but talk to runners and people who exercise and find out it’s pretty common. Here is one fix.
Everything Green
When I started as a runner my emphasis on healthy eating was sugar free syrup with morning pancakes and packs of sugar free chocolate and PB&J for lunch with an apple. My GI was a mess, my IBS became ever worse and I lost weight at a startling rate, 3+ pounds per week, not so much through exercise but because I was very ill and getting worse. My hair was falling out and I went from a dress size 2 extra large down to a size small then to an extra small and because I was dumb I thought, hu’ wow this exercise thing really works! I ran 2 miles, explains everything, my 45 minute workouts 5 days a week pay huge dividends, why doesn’t everyone do this? Guess the incredible pain in my gut is normal. And I had raging insomnia.
Soon the doctor medicated me for that though so I ignored it. Gotta eat healthy as a runner? Yeah okay, see I have sugar free everything. I ate an apple.
Gotta have green foods.
Leafy greens, baby spinach, juiced up kale, dried spirulina – get it in everywhere you can, every single day.
I’ve had good luck with powdered alfalfa. A quarter teaspoon a day seems to make sure I do not have exercise related insomnia, but I also include other greens. Mixed greens in my nightly salad. Green juice. Green supplements. Green running socks. Green car. Green bike. GREEN. Watch out for baby spinach if you have kidney stones.
Anyway, I probably should have made this story into more of a polished production for Google analytics hu? Write it like the AI’s write, lol.

The end, really, that’s all I got, just make sure the diet is full of greens and you’re not eating a bunch of shit you’re allergic to whether it’s fodmaps, gluten, dairy – whatever.
Oh and for fucks sake, don’t go off juicing 5lbs of kale a day. You’ll burn out your thyroid and be sick as fuck. That’s dumber than my sugar free syrup and PB&J diet. Naa’ you know, make sense about it. Don’t over do it just work in some greens and healthy shit into your day.
Actually at runs I always seem to meet some super skinny very sick person. “People think I’m anorexic but I eat. I ate 1,500 calories of raw broccoli just yesterday.” Yeah that’s bullshit, don’t do that either. That’s worse than the 5lbs of kale and sugar free syrup diet.
So eat everything you can eat but work in some frickin’ greens, veggies and fruit and shit okay? What wait, you do Keto? Well greens are Keto I think, idk. Wait, what the fuck, carnivore diet? Yeah I don’t know, maybe feed a bunny a bunch of alfalfa then eat it? Maybe, idk, okay, okay so I don’t fucking know anything – but greens really effectively cured my insomnia and this has been running corner for the first week of 2021. 😀
