Healthy eating is now easier than ever as the popular and inexpensive McTerranean diet comes to town with a new fast food location nestled in the pier. This diet has been the mainstay of the American eating plan for decades now and shows no sign of slowing down. With so many people on board, you know it’s good!
The main components of McTerranean diet include:
- Daily consumption of a wide selection of vegetable oils, try to switch it up! Don’t just stay with soybean oil when you can also have corn, canola or blended fat intakes! With the popularity of high-fat diets, what can we say? We did it first and the best!
- Daily multiple intakes of meat in patty and nugget forms.
- Huge portions of sugar added to heavy dairy fat and coffee products, try to work in ice cream at least once a day
- Daily intake of red meat, or in this case brown meats. Fried is the way to go!
- Stay hydrated, a 44oz soft-drink will keep you going all afternoon or how about a large drink with free refills?
Other important elements of the McTerranean diet are sharing meals with family and friends, enjoying a box of red wine and watching Netflix.
Processed food based, not plant based
The foundation of the McTerranean diet is fat in the form of recently invented highly processed and dubious “heart healthy” oils. Meals are built around these fats and taste amazing! Moderate amounts of Ketchup, onion rings and fries are also central to the McTerranean Diet, as is seafood (fried of course). In contrast, vegetables are only eaten as minor condiments in the form of pickle, onion, tomato slice and should not account for more than 5% of any one meal. Fruit is abundant in cherry pie, apple pie and pumpkin spice flavored offerings.
